South-central Nebraska | I'm looking hard at our next planter as well. I thougth the air down pressure was a must but now think differently as I have heard some cases of it leaking air and needing pumped up numerous times a day. But, some people have said no problems at all. I sometimes think the simplicity of manual adjusted downpressure might keep a guy from playing with it too much also.
The pro drive would be nice but I found out after putting knife rolls on my cornhead that I rarely have issues with chains jumping or getting knocked off. On the other hand the pro drive looks nice and simple.
I don't know the difference of the hydraulic drives as I have not had anything but mechanical ground drive. I will go with hydraulic next time.
What is the weight difference between these two planters? Kinze often is considered the heaviest built. Have you considered a CaseIH or White? | |
