Subject: JH Feedstor, or Butler

little britain ontario
JH Feedstor made white steel oxygen limited silos, they were located in Schomberg Ontario, they used a top unloader, BIG JIM made by Butler/Jamesway, it had a hole former and as the silo was filled it made a chute in the centre of the silo that the silage would drop down to a conveyor, they had doors in the sides to access the unloader and the breather bags were located in a basement like room below the silo.
Also have seen some silos with the Butler name plate on them, I know of 3 Butler silos in my area, they date from the mid 60's, used the same unlaoder as the JH Feedstor silos.
On another note, there are also some green silos, they were made by Beatty Bros in Guelph Ontario, I dont know much about them, most I have seen are high moisture corn units though they did make a haylage unit.
Also were a few other companies that made blue silos exactly like harvestore, CropHandler and Sealstor were fairly popular around here
