Subject: Moved some pairs today.

Alberta, Canada
Late fall in Alberta and the weather has been perfect. Starting to freeze pretty good some nights but no moisture and not that much wind. Grass is drying up so cow-calf pairs are starting to run negative nutrient balance. Moved some closer to home today for vaccinations and supplemental feeding (bale grazing). Hope the pictures show some detail. Kind of a dull day, about 50 english and 25 MPH wind. Broke my own rule of 3 drovers. My son and I and about 4 dogs. Crossed a paved highway, thru the bale yard and into the right field!! Last picture shows the big JD loader and field tractor and bale stacks. They are 5x5.5 dryland hay bales weighing about 1200 lbs. We handle them 2 at a time. There are about 2500 in that yard. Used to plant some wheat hence the grain bins. HT
