Subject: weaned calves

Western Ohio

Got the newly weaned calves on long stem grass at this point. Wondering if I can simply just feed 1-2 lb ddg/100# with grass hay and get along alright. Calves in 500 ish range. What can I expect from performance on this program?
Other option is some waay to good of 4 cut alfalfa. Don't have it tested yet but pretty much dairy cow feed not sure what I need to feed along with this stuff.
