The IFB2 and IFB3 are implement switches that have been offered by Farm Works. The IFB3 was built by Raven Industries. It had two serial ports so it could be used with an external GPS and a controller for VRA. This was discontinued by Raven Industries a few years back. The IFB2 is the same box but it only has a single serial port for an external GPS (can't be used for VRA). We've just recently released a new Implement Switch that replaces the IFB2. You can find more information at:

http://www.farmworks.com/?/hardware/cables.html

All three versions of the implement switch have a wire that goes to a 12 volt, switched power source. Site Mate will log data when it sees 12 volts and it stops logging when it doesn't see it.

You only need Site Mate Basic in order to utilize any of the implement switches. To utilize these, go to the "Configure" tab and select "Advanced" then select "Implement Switch".
