Subject: RE: Improved EGNOS performance with EZ-Guide 500?

Sunnyvale, CA
The receiver used in the EZ-Guide 500 and the antennas (Ag15 or Hurricane) produced excellent results twith WAAS his spring. The inherent accuracy of the EZ-Guide 500 was visible because of the very low sunspot activity. The reason low sunspots are important for good WAAS/EGNOS performance is because of the effect of sunspots on the ionosphere. the picture shows a combine unloading grain and both vehicles were using WAAS with the EZ-Guide 500. Notice the antennas were placed on a mount for a clear view of the sky.
