Currently have 50 steers and heifers I will feed until the new year. Current ration is 47% corn, 28% ddgs, 14.5% ground hay, 3% calcium, 7% molasses, .5% Vigortone mineral. Question – Can I feed this ration FREE-CHOICE? I don’t have the man power to feed every day. Will they gain too much weight per day? Any other suggestions, changing the ration so I can feed them free choice? Increase salt to limit feed intake, if so how much? Also they will have dry hay to eat also. TIA
