I'd say it doesn't depends on number of cows but on number of $ your going to generate selling good hay as oppossed to feeding it in a balanced ration and keeping the nutrients on farm and maybe add some cows. I also would strongly consider a bale processor verses tub grinder, faster with less HP required at a lower investment .Anymore I wonder if we should be concrned about waste on some poor quality feed stuff when if placed and fed on the low fertility areas of the pasture or cropland the real value is still quite high. Iron and fuel are getting to expensive to generate much return, they can look nice but keep the wallet thin.
