Subject: Getting cows to eat those cornstalks.

Baldwin City, KS
I set a bale out and the cows wanted nothing to do with it, although it was a group of red angus super sports that would rather eat a ragweed then a hay bale. I think I might need more red cows. I don't have a clue where to get corn syrup around here. Would a cheap liquid feed be just as effective? I think I can get ahold of some mix 30. I don't really want to use any more than it would take to get the cows to eat the stalks. I have heard of setting bales on end and dumping feed on until it runs all the way through. I am also trying to figure out if I can make a grinder and mixer wagon be a good fit around here. Absolutely any and all ideas appreciated.
BTW, those corn husk bales would be for sale if I could figure out a place to move them. Thanks.
