Willmar MN | I would say no. I look at it this way. I can feed a cow for $150 for the winter. That is $25/bale 1100lb bale. It really doesn't make sense to rent a pasture for 5-6 months and pay more than what you can feed them for. That is my feeling. Wrong, right or indifferent, that is the way I see it. I was doing a lot of pencil pushing last night on some potential pasture offers and that is why it is fresh in my mind. I was thinking, "How much am I willing to pay for pasture?", and that is what I came up with now. Now, this might change, but for this year that is the cost. | |
