NC | I use two strand after I train them to 4. Using high tensile it almost fool proof. Anything else and they figure out that it breaks-- a dumb lamb or greedy ewe (trying to stretch to get that last good morsel) will take it down for the rest every now and again.
Occasionally I will have one that gets out- she will NOT be put back in. I think thats why I can go down to one strand for quick grazing. I eliminate problems.
If you are trying to force them to eat something they don't want -- you may have problems keeping them on there 24 hrs a day. I usually just turn them out , hungry for the day, so they are occupied eating instead of roaming around looking for something better to eat.
