I have one pasture that is 52 acres and is divided into 9 sections. I carry 65 pairs until July and then go down to 22 pairs. I generally cut hay from at least one during the early summer. My species are cannary grass, orchard grass and alfalfa. Two of the pastures are native grasses, mostly switchgrass and big and little bluestem.
