takes a shade over 3 acres of that per cow this year ( 4 acres in wetter years ).

Interestingly the irrigated that failed ( say 75 to 130 bu ) may have more feed value.
Say rent 4 acres of that cheaper and the cows will eat evey stalk to the dirt almost.
Alot of nutients in the stalk this year that did not make it to the ear...cows know it insticntively.
