Thanks Bill. The size of that well rig impressed me. The dog doesn't even come close to the height of the front bumper LOL!

Another reason to have a meter I thought of is if there was a need and if you wanted to you could sell excess water to neighbors. I and some other neighbors formed a co-op and we buy water from a neighbor who dug an artesian well. He owns his well on his place and 10K gallons of cistern storage. We own our water system pump located at his place and the rest of the distribution line to our places. NRCS helped with the design and after a few minor bugs worked out in the first year or so the system works perfectly. We each have our own water meters and pay the bill monthly.
