S.E. LA. | Deep cycle Marine type battery is the industry standard. They are designed to discharge over a long period of time and mantain the charge longer. They work well with /solar panel as charger because the panel produces realitive small amp charge, automotive battery on the other hand is designed to produce a large starting amperage and be recharged very quickly by the vehicle alternator (65 to 95 amps) at running speed. I believe the addition of the larger battery to the ParMark mantains a greater reserve power source. Most solar panel used on fence charger's are designed very close to the actual use out of the battery . In less than ideal sunlight there maybe a weakening of the output of the charger, an extreme line load on the fence will also tax the system. | |
