Subject: Buying cattle in the south and raising in Iowa??

Heard of a couple people the past few weeks of trying to buy 800-1000lb steers down in Texas or Oklahoma and bringing them up to northern Iowa to finish. I would think you could buy them at a reasonable price? Has anyone done this or know of where to look into to get more information?
