| Most everyone likes the traditional first cross Hereford X Angus black baldy. Not many people like the 3/4+ or higher % Hereford X 1/4 Angus or less.
These cattle are basically black baldies but they carry Hereford markings. Just black instead of red and they usually take a price hit when sold as calves.
Nothing wrong with these "black Herefords" IMO. They make good cows although with tradtional Hereford markings they usually don't have pigmented eyes and udders of a true first cross baldy.
