There are a couple of options. You have Mapshots or Farmworks. These programs were developed for on-farm use. I am not that familiar with Mapshots but from what I understand it is similar to Farmworks. I use Farmworks for zone soil sampling, analyzing yield data (limited analysis options), creating variable rate application maps, you can bring in soil type data, aerial images, etc. Both softwares have a website you can check out for further information.

There is also a family farming operation in Kansas that is a 3rd party distributor of Farmworks software. They use Farmworks in their operation also, they are very friendly and can help with answering questions about will Farmworks work for you in your operation. I always like asking someone else's opinion who actually uses the software than going to the company. Plus they sell other equipment as well. You can check them out at www.123farmworks.com.
