Nwmo | Basically they are putting a resistor between the motor and controlling power source. They have some caps and other things in the little back box. In short it drastically limits the amount of current allowed into the ball valve. This keeps it from drawing to much current over heating and tripping the fuse.
As far as being a free fix I do not know, they sent me some supposedly for testing because I had more problems than a lot of people since I'm running 7 sections on a 60 ft boom and 5hz or higher on the gps signal. I would contact who ever sold you the valves they might have some sort of warranty program.
