Sunnyside, WA | Here's a few pictures of our milking parlor remodel. The parlor was 20 years old and starting to cost a lot to maintain. We removed everything including the stalls, pipeline, etc right down to the concrete floor and stainless steel curb being the only parts left. Went from a double 25 parallel to a double 28 parallel. Westfalia meters and takeoffs using the RFID on the cows for ID. Daritech vertical lift stalls. Also changes from a 3" pipeline to a 4" pipeline.
Did one side first then two weeks later the other side. Started at 5 am and were back milking by 10 pm the first time and 8 pm then second time. Used manual hose clamps the first night then had the meters and takeoffs working by the end of the next day. We were still milking on the opposite side also, so it was crazy. In total, I counted 22 people working in the parlor at its peak. They call it "extreme parlor makeover"
