NW Illinois | I have two 14mo old Heifers that I was going to keep and add to my Herd, well for many reasons I don't wish to keep them around.
I asked the local Cattle buyer when would be the best time to sell, now or breed and sell in Dec,/Jan. His suggestion is to keep them, put them with the Bull and send them to him on his Breed Heifer/Cow Sale in Dec/Jan.
My question is, at todays Market can I feed these two for eight months, Six months Pasture, Two months Hay, and Two months Corn?
No special housing, just put back out with rest of the Cows till sale time.
Would you agree with his comments?
