I guess I'd disagree. Most of my cable problems went away after switching to SS. I know that if I say this I'll probably have a broken cable when I go out right away but the only time I've had a stainless cable break is when it jumped off a pulley and got wedged between the pulley and the pulleys clevis. In that situation either the cable is going to break or something else is going to pull apart. The mild steel cable was constantly giving me fits even in places that weren't very old. Mainly where the cable went through the wall to enter the building. I would guess the size of the cable would make a big difference as to the flexibility. I think I've got both 1/8 and 3/16, no idea how many strands they are though. |
