I bought 4 - 4'x6' rubber mats I put down crosswise. Works good.especially to take slickness out. I use no bedding of any kind.
I've put a new wood floor in the trailer a few years ago and with the mats there is no impact wear to the wood at all. I take up the mats and clean everything out with the pressure washer. The wood looks as good as it did several years ago when it was put in. I have put sealer on the wood.
The replacement floor is rough cut pine with a slight gap between boards while the original floor (or at least the floor in it when I got the trailer) was tongue and groove fir. Trailer is a 1973 16' WW steel bumper pull.
Rumber flooring, anyone have it??
