The old adage is a cow for every month of age. That can be modified a bit depending on the area he is covering. If you have him in a small field say 8 acres, and he is about 13-14 months, he should be able to cover 15 cows no problem, more if he's older. Big pastures, say 200 acres plus, can wear a young bull down, especially if he looks anything like me after an easy winter.
