Here is an interesting article discussing cattle prices this summer and predicting a steeper than the usual 5 cent spring to summer decline. 

My reading of this is if you have some cattle to sell, maybe do it now rather than summer. Also this is not conducive to a large increase in the US cattle herd.  FWIW.
