Subject: Are implants worth the effort???

Earlton Ontario
I have a small heard........50 cows and am finishing all my own calves. Right now 2010 spring calves are ranging in that 800 to 1100 pound range. I am wanting to ship a group of 20-25 in Aug then remainder in October/November. I am feeding medium quality grass hay ad-lib and corn/barley/pea mix ad-lib and of course mineral/salt. Would implants be an economically sound idea for the last 90-100 days???
