I have almost the entire farm converted to CFL lights. I roughly calculate that my bulb replacement rate has dropped 90% since replacing all the incandescent bulbs with florescent, plus the fact that a 60 watt equilivent CFL only draws 13 watts. LED's use even less power start instantly in the cold and last much longer than even a CFL. The bugger in the works was the high cost of LED lights and the blue light. Sounds like they are closer to solving both problems. |
