WY, OK | If they are the heaviest 2" tube gates they do OK, any more we bite the bullet and buy the Powder River high tensile gates, they hold up to about anything and have great hinges as well as the built in latch, downside is they run about $20 a linear foot. A lot of the tube gates we bought we ended up welding steer panels to, once you keep the cows from getting their heads through the gate they hold up rather well.
If the gates you are looking at are the ones with the welded hinge tube on the gate they will break out and separate after about a year, the clamp style won't break but will just eventually slip. | |
