Eastern Nebraska | There was a city kid out on the farm one day and was helping the farmer do chores. Every once in a while the farmer would walk past a cow pie and take his finger and dip it into the pie and put in on his lips. He did this a couple times before the city kid asked him why he would do such a thing like that. The farmer explained to the city kid that he had chapped lips. The city kid asked if it helped his chapped lips and the farmer replied "No but it sure keeps me from licken' em"
