Without seeing cow, I'm betting the changer in ration, moving her to your place, 300+ days in milk. She is going to be on the down hill side of milk. I'm betting that's why the dairy sold her.

If it was my cow, I would let cow raise calf. Then dry her up. Get some weight on her, she should freshen and really come to her milk. Guess you better go and get another one to be her barn mate! LOL If your milking one, just as well milk two! If it was me, I would switch to beer, pop, etc!




P.S. You better keep wife happy, because if your wife is willing to hand milk a cow,she's a keeper!

I can't print the words my wife would tell me if I asked her to hand milk a cow.
