Iowa | Had about the samething this year. Cow had her first calf an hour later checked to see how the calf was getting along and she just had had the second calf, but the cow was more worried about taking care of the first one. Lucky I was there to get the 2nd one going, she did claim them both, but not enough milk to support both.
Had a 12 year old cow do the same a few years ago. Had a big calf and it was dead after she had it. It didnt take her long to have it but she must have been slow to get back up and calf was dead by the time she did. She was a damn good cow also. | |
