| We went thru a similiar situation when our daughter was a baby except it was my wife you was the only one that could hold her without her crying. Soon as my wife would lay her in her crib she would wake up crying. After 3 days & nights of continually holding our daughter my wife was exhausted. In desperation I laid one of my wife's nightgowns, previously worn, in the crib & we laid our daughter on the gown & covered her up. Daughter & wife but got a sound nights sleep. The scent of my wife on her nightgown made our daughter think her mom was holding her. We had to leave the gown in the crib for several nights but our daughter finally got where she would sleep without it.
You also need to get him to a dr asap.
