Northeast Missouri | Follow-up from the post a couple days ago...
1st picture is of the whole chute... you can see the yellow paint of the ForeMost headgate showing through.
2nd picture is detail of my custom bottom panel. That picture won't make sense until you see their standard design, where the panel itself is about 3-4" shorter (vertically) and there's horizontal tubing just above it to take up the space + vertical stubs that connect it to the main frame bar--so you can pipe behind animals fairly low (say, for calves) just above the bottom panel. Besides removing that horizontal tube I had them cut round holes (visible in the picture) in the bottom panel itself for the same purpose, but I hardly ever use them.
3rd picture is detail of one negative of the chute. I have foam rubber & duct tape around the hinges for the squeeze mechanism, because I've whacked my head on them a few times. Interestingly though, I don't seem to have bumped them at all since I added the foam & duct tape!
