western iowa,by Denison | wow,I have lots of ideas,leave the wood post out though,do you want to be a confinement or open feedlot,if you have 10% of your pen not covered its not consindered a confinement.,Building another one this summer,south bunks and east bunks-10% of the pen not covered,using a 4-12 truss rafter with a open ridge,5ft overhang on both sides,manure bunker in center,2 pens,you have to watch your bunk space,more is better,and go to 50sq ft per animal-big gates-(20ft) and a better place for waters.If you want more info I could e-mail you,where are you located? | |
