Subject: Netting of Straw Bales(Pics)

Riviersonderend South Africa

Netwrap my hay and straw bales for the first time last season ( October-November 2010)

Using a John Deere 623 baler with  John Deere Cover Edge netting, every bale got 2 layers of netting

Switch to Tama Marathon 4.2 km after 2 rolls of John Deere Cover Edge netting ,worked very nice and were 25% cheaper than the cover edge netting
Baled 4 rolls of the Tama Marathon

Looks like I got a big problem that the UV in the Tama Marathon are not used to the South African sun and the netting exposed to the direct sun are going brittle and and the straw are popping out

Find out that the Cover Edge Netting sold by John Deere are made by the same company and are just sold under the John Deere label,it is imported and distrubted in South Africa by the same company bringing in Tama Marathon

Local rep visited me today and it looked that a got a bad batch of netting with inferior UV protection in it
Hope for a refund on my netting used last season
