New Mexico | pit bunkers...anything that works there, works bagged too.
Nother ingredient in the Miwest that works is sweet corn waste out of the canning plants ( pea waste if any found would be fine also ).
Just grind straw, blend to the wet sweet corn waste, and start packing bunkers ( touch of sileage treatment stuff helps too ).
Guess excess waste on silage never bothers me though...heck haul it out and cows will pick thru it.
