| Had these bars at NAT gathering in St Louis, had some ask for the recipe, Popcorn and Kassi made them.
Cream Cheese Bars
2 (8oz) pk. cream cheese
2 pkgs. crescent Rolls
1 cup sugar
1 egg divided
1 tsp. vanilla or almond extract (I use almond extract)
1/4 cup sugar
Grease bottom of 9X13 pan. Unroll one pkg. of crescent rolls and spread on bottom of pan, pinching cut marks to close. Mix both pkgs. of cream cheese with 1 cup of sugar, one egg yolk and vanilla or almond extract. Unroll other pkg. of crescent rolls and lay over top of cream cheese filling. Mix remaining egg white with 1/4 cup of sugar until frothy. Spread over the top. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Cool completely before cutting. Store in fridge.
Easy and a nice change but warned highly addictive!!!
