A heifer with a day old calf will not have mastitis.
With heifers you never know when they will drop milk, she may produce heavy in the coming days, or maybe it isn't in her genes to do so. Ours all get fed the best hay on the place to keep them producing at their peak and keep growing that is about all you can hope for.
Is it possible to make a heifer give more milk?
