NW Iowa
I do this day in and day out at work. Recently the DNR sent us a few page document outlining things that is required for the 500-999 head yards, but only if they fall into a certain category. They said that they are actively enforcing those rules as well. I do know that the EPA has been making visits, especially up in my neck of the woods. There were several folks that have had to do things because of such visits. DNR (EPC...whole nother can o worms there) is working on getting closer to the EPA rules, but it seems that they are lagging behind a little bit. The rules for the under 1000 get pretty fuzzy and gray, and to make matters worse, depends on if they are in a confinement or open lot or a combination...Shoot me an email, and I'll get my contact info to you.
