| I used to manage a greenhouse, and one of of the ladies that did the ordering in the winter over ordered mass bulbs by a couple thousand. It was a small greenhouse operation with absolutely no need for the amount of bulbs that showed up. We potted all of them in 1 gallon pots and put them in a cold shed (pretty much like being in the ground outside). Once winter broke, we moved them inside the greenhouse to force them out and all of them but about 9 bloomed. We sold them just like you'd buy a geranium...take them home, removed the pot, and put the entire rootball in the ground. | |
