change your corn intake from 1.6 / 1.7% corn to half corn say .85% / half wdg or ddg ie the other .85% ( cap ddgs at 6 to 7 lbs per head per day ).
The afore increases your total protien, cuts starch, adds fat and fiber thus a better grow ration.

Nother way ( best ) is to dry winter and cake em on range with bred cows, sort the bulls off early spring cake em good till grass comes on, let em roll on grass etc. Depends though on if this is even doable in your area ie open winter range kinda country.
