I was wondering about feeding my 1st calf heifers and cows some DDG 6-7lbs/hd/day and letting them graze cornstalks for the rest of their feed, instead of feeding hay, at least for a month or so into calving. Keep in mind that I would start feeding them (heifers) at the start of calving in a couple of weeks.
Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated!
