Yes it has been posted before.  Yes there are a smaller percentage of American's who would step forward and protect America.. They would not have to be asked,  they would not say "that's not my responsibility",, they would not expect anyone else to do so.

These people are very easy to pick out in any crowd.
They are the people who run toward the threat not away from it nor cower from it.  

Look at the recent "event".   Who took the shooter to the ground ??? 
Two old guys,, 1 a retired military guy, and another old guy, both  60 +  years old.  An older woman stepped up and assisted the two old guys, taking the clip away from the bonehead and holding the bonehead down.

They didn't do it for "glory" or any of that jazz,, they did it simply cause it was the right thing to do.
