When I went to KC with SkillsUSA in 2006 they had all sorts of things like this. Later I was that they have a 3D scanner that you can put an object in make a AutoCad file out of it, then send it to the models and it will build one. I was thinking of all the possibilitys of having that could have. Break a door handle for you pick up? glue the old one together, scan it, and have another one built to make sure it works, or just use the new.

The guys in KC were always making things like pliers and a nut and belt that could screw together like like the real thing.
