I wish people who saw these pictures and who are (rightfully) disgusted would stop and think... If we continue to regulate the American producer to death, these are the people who we will be buying food from.

Unfortunately, it doesn't ever happen. I've talked to anti-ag people from California (and elsewhere) enough to know that their minds don't grasp that concept. They think we can all have backyard gardens, sing Kumbaya, be fat and happy. Little organic farms, that kind of thing. They just don't get the fact that there are 300 million people, and that takes a lot of agriculture, not to mention export markets. They don't understand that when you impose regulations on farms here, it may mean the alternative is to grow vegetables in Mexico where that regulation doesn't exist. Its happened with manufacturing and I feel like we are next.
