Subject: RE: It's so easy . . .

I haven't tried to share an entire C drive on the peer to peer network we have at the office, but I've selectively shared 'My Documents' among XP Pro, XP Home and Win 2000 computers via the right-click, 'Share this Folder' method. We're using Zone Alarm Pro for the firewall at the office and have had no problems accomplishing the share. I have folder options set to show all files rather than allowing Windows to hide selected files and folders, so maybe this is why I can see them.

When everything's cooking right, it's really nice to be able to find the networked drives from the 'My Network Places' on the start menu. As I recall, however, some of our computers came with a default workgroup of MSHOME, while others were set to WORKGROUP--these had to be changed to the same name before some computers could find the others.
