How old are kids? We took a couple 16 hour trips to Destin Fl when my youngest was 6 or 7. We usally try keep the kids up a little later than usual, then leave about 3am, drive till noon. Take a quick lunch break and dinner stop and get in by bedtime same day. Sucks-but worth it for the extra vacation day. Drive back is sure a lot worse than drive down.
