NC Iowa | 1500 watts is 1500 watts. i think they are overpriced for what they are, but it is all marketing. the way to use them to save money is to just heat the room you are in, and rest of the house cool. if you tried to heat a whole house with them, it would be very expensive. we got an electric fireplace for about the same money. realistic flame, and 1350 watts. hooked up to our existing electric heat meter, so can use it for 4.3 cents/kwh.
