We switched when I knew more than the tax preparer - part-time winter help for a CPA firm - actually was a farmer too but couldn't figure out anything beyond what the tax prep software would tell him-huge indicator it was time to move. We switched to a CPA and doesn't cost anything additional. Check to see if new firm knows agriculture or self-employment.
