Seneca Castle New York | My thoughts and prayers are with you Blacklander. I lost my father at the age of 81 this past March. He was still able to help with planting in 2009 but by harvest season he was no longer able to climb into the combine. I was combining corn one day and he pulled up the the field in his truck and picked 4 ears of corn through the window. When I stopped to unload he waved me over and handed the ears to me. I knew it was his last harvest. At his funeral I stuck 2 of the ears into his casket. I will always keep the other 2. | |
